The aim of the session is to present, discuss and exchange opinions about current results and views in the fields of animal biology. These disciplines include behaviour, developmental biology, ecology, endocrinology, evolutionary biology, genomics, morphology, neurobiology, physiology, histology, anatomy, nutrition, systematics and theoretical biology. Researches in the field of sexual selections in animals will be specially appreciated.

Accepted full papers in the special session of animal biology will be published in Animal Biology (JCR: 0.574).
